GENERAL TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR SACRAMENTO

Air travel:

International connections from Hawaii are now available. Aloha Airlines

now runs service from Maui, in the Hawaiian Republic to Saramento via

Burbank (you will go through Customs in Burbank before going on to Sacramento).

Hawaiian air has daily nonstop service from Honolulu to Sacramento.

Interntational connections are available from Mexico City and Guadalajara

to Sacramento. For Hawaii, citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, EU

Countries, the U.S., and the U.K. can transit the country without having to

otain transit visas. Citizens of these countries can stay in Hawaii for up

to 30 days without a visa provided they have an onward ticket and proof of

sufficient funds for their stay. Citizens of other countries should be sure

to have the approppriate transit visas, or they may be refused passage,

even with a valid U.S. entry visa.

For travellers transiting Hawaii, security has been tightened since late

last year when a plot was uncovered to execute a 9-11 style attack in the

republic on the U.S. military bases that exist in Hawaiian territory.

Travellers through Hawaii should allow, if possible, check in at least three

hours prior to any flight, regardless of the final destination.

Passengers boarding flights in Hawaii may not carry knives, scissors,

box cutters, razors, or virtually any sharp object. Currentl regulations

in Hawaii regquire that all passengers over 18 present some kind of valid

ID before Sharp items like those mentioned above must be carried in checked

baggage and will be confiscated by security personell if discovered during

security checks.

International service is also available from Guadalajara, Mexico to

Sacramento. It cannot be said too much that travelers coming through third

countries, especially Hawaii and Mexico, should have appropriate transit visas

or they can be denied onward passage, even with a valid U.S. entry visa.

ALL International travelers are advised that check ins up to 6 HOURS

for flights inbound to the USA could become the norm, when a new entry

regime, requiring certain traveler information be entered in a new database

from 1st July. Even if you have a valid US visa, this information has to

be transmitted ahead, and many in the airline industry predict necessary

check-in time up to 6 hours for any flights inbound to the USA. This

also includes fights from Canada, Mexico, and Hawaii, if you are changing

planes anywhere, do allow for this when making travel plans. European airports

are telling travelers to be at the airport 6 hours ahead of flight time

from 1st July, but no official word from anywhere else in the world.

By Road:

Sacramento is about 2 hours, via Interstate 80 from San Francisco and 9

hours from Los Angeles via Interstate 5. The speed limits run between 55 and

70 MPH. Radar detectors are ILLEGAL in California under a 2001 law which makes

them illegal. If you are caught with a radar detector you can be ticketed and

fined in California.

You know Chuckie, the more of this drivel that you post, the more pathetic
you appear.. When are you going to start taking your medication on a regular
basis?

While "Chuckie" operates possibly the longest-running, most elaborate
troll in Usenet history, the franchise is starting to crack a bit. When
Alfred Lord Tennisball took credit for the radio list (calling it "my
list"), it became apparent that maintaining the separate identities of
the I AM NOT CHUCKIE!!!!!!!! group might require more horsepower than
the current franchise operator has available.

I'm not entirely positive it was Chuckie that posted the original message.
Check out the spelling of "labor" in Labour Day, unless Chuckie is getting
his motel guides printed in Canada. Us Yanks don't use the "U" so prevalent
in the European spelling of certain words.

One thing you notice is the original post in HTML format. We will be
shifting most of our postings to the Web, as far as things like the State
Fair FAQ goes. Chuckie is even going to allow us to post his ENTIRE radio
list (which most new servers barf on, becuase of its large size) to our
Web site.
I will still be posting here from time to time, but but of the focus
at Anonymous Demonic Media will be shifting to an anonymous Web page. We
have figured out how to post anonymously to the remaining free Web sites
that are still in existence. The Web page is slowly being built now.
We are doing this, becuase nym.alias.net has been having SOOOO many
outages this year. Thus, we are beginning to make the switch to Web publishing

As one of the veteran ChuckieWatchers in the group, I can tell you...
Chuckie's various non-U.S. characters have indeed - at least at times
- adopted the British/Canadian spelling of words like "labour".

And besides, "Alfred" is one of the known ChuckieEntities...

GENERAL INFO

One note you better put in your FAQ in the fuuture is that just about

every food concession on the grounds has to charge and pay sales

tax now. This is part of new taxes to close the huge state budget

deficit.

One tip, the one place that does NOT have sales tax, becuase it

is owned and operated by the state, is in the satellite wagering center.

There is no sales tax on food/drink purchases there, but at any other

concession on the grounds, you do have to pay sales tax now.

Here is another tip for saving money on soda. There are four vending
machines where
you can buy a 20oz bottle of coke for $1. One is located in the Livestock
exposition,
another one is located outside where the Baseball-America's Game exhibit, at
the entrance
which faces out towards the main carnival area. There is also one outside
the Main Gate,
and one outside the entrance at the Expo Sports and Wagering. Believe, the
way I drink
sodas out there on a hot day, its has saved me a lot of money on sodas.
